The Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Coordinator course is designed for individuals who have direct or indirect responsibility for injury management, workers’ compensation, and supporting injured workers within their organisation. The program provides participants with a clear understanding of the rights and obligations outlined in Western Australia’s Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management legislation, ensuring compliance and best practice in managing workplace injury recovery and return-to-work processes.

Participants are introduced to the fundamental principles of workers’ compensation in WA, including the responsibilities of employers, employees, insurers, and rehabilitation providers. The course examines the legal framework governing injury management and claims processes, including claim lodgement, confidentiality requirements, and effective communication between all stakeholders.

Injury management is presented as a collaborative return-to-work process that benefits both the worker and the employer—improving recovery outcomes, reducing workplace disruption, and supporting cost-effective workers’ compensation management through proactive return-to-work (RTW) strategies.

The course content includes the latest legislative updates implemented in July 2024, ensuring participants are informed of recent changes and how they impact workers’ compensation obligations, injury management procedures, and compliance requirements in WA workplaces
