Leadership, Psychosocial Hazards & Harmonised Legislation take centre stage at the Perth Safety Forum

PERTH, AUSTRALIA – June 16, 2023 – On 14 June 2023, nearly 100 guests from various industries convened at the Holiday Inn Perth City Centre for the one-day Perth Safety Forum 2023, jointly presented by WHS Foundation and NSCA Foundation. The forum focused on three key topics: Leadership, Psychosocial Hazards, and Risk Management.

The forum’s twelve insightful and passionate speakers provided valuable insights and experiences, discussing evidence-based practices to promote safety and well-being at work. Attendees had the unique opportunity to learn from a wide range of experts in the field, including regulators, psychologists, management experts, artificial intelligence companies, health & safety lawyers, academics, accreditation boards, and project managers.

In addition to providing attendees with networking opportunities, the forum also discussed the updated legislation one year on from the introduction of the new harmonised laws, including the expansion of obligations in employment and WHS Laws for Sexual Harassment, and how to use trauma-informed practices in the workplace. The event was well received by the guests, who appreciated the opportunity to gain new perspectives on safety issues and connect with peers.

“We are thrilled to have hosted the Perth Safety Forum 2023 and are delighted with the feedback we received,” said the event organizers. “The forum provided a platform for industries to come together and discuss how we can all work towards building safer, healthier workplaces.”

Overall, the Perth Safety Forum 2023 was a resounding success, and the organizers look forward to hosting future events to continue the conversation and support the goal of safer, healthier workplaces for all.
