WHS Foundation Supports Statewide Collaboration at the 2025 AIHS Perth Safety Symposium

The WHS Foundation was proud to attend the 2025 AIHS Perth Safety Symposium on Friday, 28 November, as the event’s Platinum Sponsor. The Symposium brought together Western Australia’s leading safety minds for a full day of discussion, learning, and shared commitment to Safer Healthier Work across all industries.

Collaboration across WA’s regulatory, workers’ compensation and professional health and safety communities is essential to strengthening the state’s WHS system. The Symposium provided a valuable platform for this, uniting leaders from WorkSafe WA, WorkCover WA and the Work Health and Safety Commission. Their collective insights emphasised the importance of working together to improve compliance, advance prevention strategies, and foster a stronger regulatory environment for all workplaces.

As a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to raising WHS standards, the WHS Foundation values opportunities that bring industry and regulators together. The Symposium reinforced the critical role of shared knowledge, open dialogue, and ongoing professional development in creating safer and healthier work for every Western Australian.

WHS Foundation representatives spent the day engaging with delegates, discussing current WHS challenges, and highlighting upcoming initiatives, including the international APOSHO 40 Forum & Expo, which will be hosted in Fremantle in October 2026 by the WHS Foundation. The event also gave the Foundation an opportunity to connect with existing partners and build new relationships with organisations who share our commitment to improving workplace safety.

The WHS Foundation extends its thanks to the Australian Institute of Health & Safety for delivering an impactful event that continues to support the growth, capability, and collaboration of the WHS profession in Western Australia.
