This refresher course has been designed to update the skills and knowledge for those elected Health and Safety Representatives (HSR) who have attended and completed the accredited introductory 5-day training program.
The HSR Refresher course will cover topics including:
- WHS legislation, and any updates or changes made
- Managing hazards and risks in the workplace
- Incident/accident investigation
- Consultation, representation, and participation
This course has been approved by the WHS Commission and meets the requirements of Work Health and Safety general Regulation 21 (1)(b).

Completing the refresher course for elected Health and Safety Representatives will provide HSR’s with the understanding of how best to adequately represent employees, and effectively participate in an organization’s safety management program.
On successful completion of this course, participants will be issued with a certificate of attendance.
