The Comcare-approved Health and Safety Representative (HSR) course is a five-day introductory training program designed for elected Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) and Deputy HSRs working in Comcare-regulated environments, including Commonwealth agencies and licensed companies.
This course provides participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to effectively represent their work group, identify and manage workplace risks, and contribute to safer, healthier work environments.
In accordance with Section 72 of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011, employers are required to provide elected HSRs with the opportunity to attend an approved training course of their choice, in consultation with their employer. The Comcare-approved HSR course delivered by WHS Foundation meets all regulatory requirements and enables HSRs to carry out their responsibilities with confidence and competence.
WHS Foundation is approved by Comcare to deliver both the initial HSR course and HSR refresher training under Commonwealth work health and safety legislation.
