The Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Coordinator course is designed for individuals who have direct or indirect responsibility for supporting injured workers within their organisation. The program provides participants with a clear understanding of the rights and obligations outlined in Western Australia’s Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management legislation, ensuring compliance and best practice in managing workplace injury and recovery.

Participants are introduced to the fundamental principles of workers’ compensation, including the responsibilities of employers, employees, insurers and rehabilitation providers. The course examines the legal framework governing injury management, including the claims process, confidentiality requirements, and effective communication between all stakeholders.

Injury management is presented as a collaborative process that benefits both the worker and the employer – improving recovery outocomes, reducing disruption, and applying downward pressure on workers’ compensation premiums through proactive return-to-work strategies.

The course content includes the latest legislative updates implemented in July 2024, ensuring participants are informed of recent changes and how they impact workplace obligations and procedures.
