This Manual Handling training course provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills to identify, assess, and control hazards associated with manual handling tasks, improving workplace health and safety (WHS) and reducing the risk of musculoskeletal injuries.
The program emphasises the importance of safe work practices when performing manual tasks, aligning with the Code of Practice: Hazardous Manual Tasks and WHS legislative requirements. Participants will learn how to recognise and assess risk factors associated with manual handling, implement effective risk control measures, and apply correct lifting, carrying, and movement techniques to prevent injury.
This training is suitable for supervisors, safety officers, and personnel involved in manual handling tasks who are responsible for maintaining safe work systems and promoting injury prevention in the workplace. The course combines interactive learning, demonstrations, and practical exercises to ensure participants can confidently apply their knowledge in real workplace settings.
Through reflective learning, peer support, and practical application, participants will:
