Michael was appointed Managing Director in August 2021, having served as a non-executive director on the Board from February 2019 and as the Deputy President from June 2020.
Michael has had an interesting and varied career in health and safety, initially serving in the Australian Army, before transitioning to the business world in a variety of safety and risk roles. Michael also held H&S leadership roles with global organisations Pfizer, Marsh and Gallagher, the latter which acquired Michael’s RiskLink consulting business in 2016.
Prior to becoming the Managing Director, Michael was practicing employment and health & safety law with a Perth law firm. He holds tertiary qualifications in law, health & safety science, risk management, human resources, psychology and leadership.
Michael is a passionate advocate for work health and safety and leads the management team in our vision and mission of creating Safer Healthier Work.
